A career in journalism spanning more than 40 years has given Jim a ringside seat to some of the great events in world sports. A trip to the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh took a deviation by train and taxi to see the last two holes of Greg Norman’s breakthrough British Open victory at Turnberry in 1986. Part of Norman’s final divot is still wrapped in a Turnberry golf towel in a box. In the garage. Always seeing the broader possibilities of touring life led to Jim leading two supporters’ tours to Rugby World Cups in France and Japan as well as another following the 1997 Ashes tour of England. He has paired up with Alliance Airlines to create fun and personally-styled golf tours to some of Australia’s best golfing locations.
